In April 2025, Captura Aid and Trade AS was awarded a major contract to install solar systems for the Norwegian embassy in Havana and for the ambassador's residence outside Havana.

The company scored highest on all the main criteria for the tender award.

The contract consists of one system of 60 kW and one system of 30 kW (a total of 162 solar panels, inverters and significant battery capacity. The systems are now sailing from the factory in China to Cuba, and are expected to be installed in October 2025.

The installation will replace current diesel generators. The embassy then gets an environmentally friendly and silent solution. Own staff and surrounding neighbors will probably celebrate not being kept awake at night by noise from the diesel generator and also avoiding the smoke.
